In June 2023, with the official opening of the "Shenzhen Shekou - Jiangmen High-tech" combined port line, the "Greater Bay Area Combined Port" project has achieved 100% coverage of nine mainland cities in the Greater Bay Area. The regional terminals in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, which were originally limited by the insufficient water depth of the channel of the water network, have realized information interconnection and mutual recognition of customs supervision under the "Greater Bay Area Combined Port" model, and the construction of a world-class port cluster is accelerating. According to statistics, the "Greater Bay Area Group Combined Port" has opened a total of 37 lines, reducing the average cargo storage period by 66%, and enjoying more than 5,000 enterprises.
The location advantages of Shenzhen port and port, as well as new trade channels such as TIR direct international cross-border highway and China-Europe Express train (Shenzhen), also provide enterprises with a further smooth way out for foreign trade. The customized trains such as cross-border e-commerce special trains, boutique express trains, and automobile special trains have been opened successively, providing high-timeliness and high-stability export channels for Shenzhen's high-value categories such as electronic products and e-commerce goods. In 2023, a total of 188 China-Europe Express trains (Shenzhen) will be launched, transporting 130,000 tons of goods with a value of 4.6 billion yuan, and 1,140 new enterprises will carry out import and export business on the train.
